Beautify It:

CableCares volunteers, with design and financial support from our partners at DIY Networks, spend the weekend cleaning, repairing, painting and landscaping at the Sarah T. Reed High School. Amy Wynn Pastor, carpenter and host of DIY Network's "Make A Move", took the lead in the planning and execution of this beautification project.

Wire It:

Banneker Elementary School

Through the generous support of Cox New Orleans, Cable in the Classroom, CommScope, Discovery Education, Juniper Networks, LG Electronics, Motorola, and other supporters from the cable industry, CableCares volunteers wiring and equipped Banneker Elementary with a full complement of advanced cable services including digital and high-definition cable, HD-DVRs, televisions, and access to more than 500 hours each month of quality commercial-free programming through Cable in the Classroom. In addition, Discovery Education, in partnership with 3M, provided Banneker with comprehensive online multimedia resources and various strategies for facilitating the effective use of digital media in the classroom.

Laurel Elementary School - Intel

With the generous support from Intel and with the expert help of Intel volunteers, CableCares placed computers in every classroom at Laurel Elementary School. Over 45 brand new computers were donated.

CableCares thanks you for helping to make schools better for New Orleans students!
