Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry’s AIDS action organization, is calling for volunteers to help the revitalization efforts of Project Lazarus, the nation’s hardest hit AIDS organization, in an area still feeling the aftershocks of Hurricane Katrina. At Project Lazarus and Kent House, both homes for people living with HIV/AIDS, Cable Positive will lend their hand in assisting the full-time staff in many capacities. These include landscaping, painting, cleaning, cooking, and social interaction with the residents.
Time, Date & Location
Join Cable Positive and your industry peers in a direct act of social responsibility on Saturday, May 17 or Sunday, May 18 between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Morial Convention Center to Project Lazarus/Kent House in two-hour intervals starting at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Please meet outside of Hall D, at the convention center, transportation will be labeled with a Cable Positive sign.

About Project Lazarus
Founded in 1983, Project Lazarus is the oldest and largest assisted living residential facility for people living with AIDS in the Gulf Coast Region. Consisting of four houses, Project Lazarus, originally and still sometimes called Lazarus House, is home to a maximum of 24 individual at a time. 32 full time staff and more than 150 volunteers provide 24-hour care to residents.
